Planning the graduation party for one of your loved ones is the easy bit. This part only required an imaginative brain to think and plan concepts on party themes, decorations, type of food etc.

The tedious part of the process is the detail of the party like sorting out party favors, ivites and other party supplies. Because graduation parties are typically a one off celebration, graduation party supplies are usually a bit more pricey than normal party supplies

In addition to costs, graduation party supplies are usually difficult to pull together detail by detail. This is usually the reason why lots of people hire a party organizer to make sure that the graduation party will be memorable for everyone.

For the do-it-yourself party planner, like the family or friend of the graduate, a checklist for graduation party supplies is a must. Here are some of the basic graduation party supplies that you have to have:

1. Decorations. Once you have decided on the theme of the party, you will now have to start to look for decorations that will suit the event. If the theme of the party is a sports theme, because the graduate is in a sports team, you may want to look for wall and ceiling decorations in line with the sports theme like basketball for example. You may also want to decorate the center table and other tables with basketball (or volleyball or football decorations etc.) decorations. These decorations are usually readily available in party supply stores or online.

Balloons for graduation parties are also very popular. If the graduate is younger, balloons are always preferred. However, some graduates especially older ones may not like the balloons.
2. Utensils for food. After you decide your theme, this should be the next easy step. If your party is laidback and informal, you can opt to use disposable utensils for food such as specialized paper plates and paper cups designed for graduation. If your party is more formal and reserved, you of course have to choose the more posh utensils like china ware. Make sure that the color and design will match your overall party theme.

3. Banners and guest book. Banners are now commonly used during parties to display themed messages about the individual and the event. Tarpaulins are normally used to serve as the backdrop of any stage set up used in the graduation party.

Guest book is the generic term for anything that is used by guests to sign and wish the graduate a “congratulations”. This can be in a form of a book or frame or shirt or any other thing that can be signed by the guests.

4.  Other party supplies. This can include party hats and party souvenirs. Again, party hats are usually preferred by younger celebrants and most applicable for laidback, informal parties. Souvenirs are still common but are usually preferred by older graduates.

This checklist is your guide for your graduation party supplies. Make sure you use a list like this to keep track of all teh elements you will need to deliver a great graduation party
